Ben Ogle
Ben C. Ogle

Dateline 1904, Ben C. Ogle began the practice of law in Knoxville, Tennessee as a sole practitioner.  As time progressed, Henry T. (Squire) Ogle, Ben C. Ogle's son began his practice of law in 1950 with his father and so began the Law Offices of Ogle & Ogle.  The areas of representation included Wills and Estates, Corporations, Family Law, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense.  With the passing of Ben Ogle in 1958, Squire Ogle carried on the practice of law, as the Law Offices of Henry T. Ogle and Associates, in the same fields as his father.  Over the years, Squire's zealous representation of his clients

became legend in Knoxville and the East Tennessee community.  Whether or not it was a Fortune 500 corporation, an emerging small business, a person who had suffered a personal injury, a person who needed a divorce, or someone who had a simple speeding ticket or a felony criminal charge; Squire's representation was zealous and professional.  Throughout Squire's 56 years of practicing law, he associated many of the leading lawyers of their time with him in his practice.  He helped many young, up and coming lawyers with his experience, expertise and wisdom.

One such lawyer, Timothy Grant Elrod became associated with Squire in 2004.  As their relationship grew, the practice grew, and so in 2005 the firm was reorganized and became known as Ogle, Ogle & Elrod PLLC.  Mr. Elrod and Squire shared the same vision, strategy, and zeal for the future of the law firm as the other.  Together, they practiced law in the same areas coordinating their efforts on many cases.  Mr. Elrod and Squire soon reshaped the Law Offices and began focusing on Family Law, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense. However, because of the longevity and existing clients of the firm they continued serving the needs of their existing client base in the field of corporations, contracts, wills and estates, and consumer fraud.  In 2004, Mr. Elrod associated Mr. Michael Graves, a criminal defense, family law and personal injury lawyer.  Then, Mr. Elrod associated Mr. Adam Elrod, a juvenile court, family law and criminal defense lawyer.  Next, Mr. Elrod associated Mr. Jason Baril, a criminal defense, personal injury and family lawyer.  Finally, Mr. Elrod associated Mr. Jason Sams, a criminal defense, personal injury and general practice lawyer.  With the building full of talent and expertise, the Law Offices of Ogle, Ogle & Elrod PLLC continued as a talent pool of experience, expertise, and wisdom in the practice of law.

However, in April of 2006, tragedy struck the Law Office's with the passing of Squire Ogle.  While saddened and grieving, the firm once again moved forward, this time with the introduction of Jason K. Baril as a member of the firm.  Thus, the firm was renamed to its present day incarnation of The Law Office's of Ogle, Elrod & Baril PLLC.  Both Jason and Tim share the same vision as Ben and Squire did in 1950, then Squire and Tim did in 2004.  That vision, is to have the legacy of zealous and professional representation that has made the Law Office's of Ogle, Elrod & Baril PLLC. well respected in Knoxville and East Tennessee for the last 102 years; last another 100 years and beyond.
